The Roosevelt Elk is one of my favorite wild animals in North America. We have seen them often in the Darrington - Concrete Wa, area. They are larger than regular Rocky Mountain Elk, and very regal. Bring your camera to Forks, WA, and you can usually find them by their reddish brown and tan colors down among the deciduous trees and grassy pastures in the river valley.
