Bedouins created the world's finest performance horse breed, known today as the Arabian horse. His legendary endurance heritage comes from all over the Middle East.
Foundation horses were born in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Egypt; and presented by horse dealers in port cities close to Europe, such as Constantinople. Arabian mares were known as the war horse of the desert, as they were the choice to ride when on raids. Stallions may be spirited, but are also known for their great intelligence, and affinity to young riders.
