The Mother's Day Horse Show on Sunday, May 9th, took place at People Helping Horse's stables on the sunniest day of the month. There was a strong turn-out, with many old and new friends bringing their horses to show at the Emergency Fundraiser Show to support PeopleHelpingHorses.org, of Arlington, WA. Everyone from People Helping Horses sends their thanks and appreciation for your attendance, and the many, many, multiple entries received. The Pacific Northwest weather cooperated with a full day of sunshine. A great time was had by all.

Thank you, to Liz Stabbert, for taking candid shots of the horse show, and for driving to Arlington, WA from Silverdale, WA. Liz even rode a Washington State Ferry to get to the show! Everyone sincerely enjoyed Liz's company, and we look forward to seeing the images she posts from the show. Having a good photographer on hand taking pictures is such an advantage, and Liz was a welcome surprise for all the attendees.
Thanks also go to Shannon Mayer, and her dad, Phil Mayer, for baking such wonderful and tasty treats for everyone. "I think Dad's cinnamon rolls and the chocolate cupcakes were the most popular," says Shannon. They were kept busy all day, sharing chocolate samples, and collecting donations for these special treats. By the end of the day, there were only a few chocolate truffles and cinnamon rolls left.
I even have a little "pink" to my face from the sun, the weather was that nice. All of the show horses just glistened in the sun. Since we had our booth right next to PHH's mascot, "JoJo", Shannon plucked some grass for her, and visited with her new companion mini-horse, Spirit, several times during the show. They stayed as close to the action as she could! Our spot was a perfect viewpoint to watch and visit with everyone.
Let's all plan on coming together again, to support People Helping Horses during their annual, "Celebrate the Horse" festival this October 2nd and 3rd, in Lynden, WA. More will be posted as we get closer to the event. Thanks again, everyone.
There's a few videos taken during the show, they were posted live, to FaceBook, YouTube, and the AWhiteHorse App, right from the horse show. It was a ton of fun.
